Leaping Into the Next Month On Leap Year! Happy 29th of February!Extra day to Sew!

It's a leap year and that means there is an extra day in February. How does this happen? Well an extra day is added to the calendar in most countries. So a 365 day year is turned into a 366 day year. Also, did you know? January,April and July start on the same day during a leap year. Every year that is exactly divisible by 4 is a leap year, for intance, 2020, 2024, 2028, etc... All this happens because of the rotation of the Earth around the Sun and how long it takes to do this. And, we have to celebrate birthdays for our leap year babies too! After all, they only get birthdays every four years. You are much younger than the rest of us, LOL.

This extra day means that we have an extra day this year to sew. Yeah! Since it is leap year and leaping can be associated with frogs, I have cute frog fabric that I have decided to make a little something with today. This, "Yoga Frog" fabric by Robert Kaufman is a favorite of mine. So, sew along with me and get inspired by Leap Year and make a little something for yourself or someone else.
